Our Technology
StegoSafe is built on proven cryptographic foundations:
- AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 key derivation (600,000 iterations)
- Shamir Secret Sharing over GF(2⁸): split one secret across several photos, any k of n recover it
- Deniable image format: the payload lives in the pixels’ least-significant bits with no header, marker or signature — nothing for a signature scan to match on. (Scoped honestly: that defeats a scanner and a person looking through a photo library. Dedicated statistical steganalysis is a stronger adversary, and we don’t claim to beat it.)
- Native Apple apps (SwiftUI; device-bound keys held in the keychain, this-device-only, released by the current enrolled Face ID / Touch ID); WaxSeal adds Secure Enclave device identities and an organisation vault with end-to-end keys the vault never holds
